The first day I walked into this class I thought it was going go be really easy and require a low amount of effort. However through the next two weeks I realized that this class was going to require a lot of effort and a lot of paying attention and taking notes. When I first started taking photos I didn't really understand that there were elements of composition that went into taking photos. This was my what I submitted for composition project and as you can tell it doesn't look that good. How ever throughout the composition assignment I improved my photo taking skills as you can tell from this photo. Through out this class I gained my things such as photoshop skills and learning how to make a blog but the most important thing I gained from this class is a new view of the world. What I mean by that is when I am outside of just looking at things I look at these things as if i am taking a photo. I think about how it would look best, how the lighting could or how I could change he composition of the focal points. An example of this is the other day I was turning off the lights in my room and my little Christmas tree was on and it casted a really good looking shadow on my wall and the first thing I thought of was how good a photo of this would look. These are some of the first photos I took in the class. As you can tell these photos aren't that good. However I improved a lot throughout out the trimester. Here are some of my best photos. From these two sets of pictures you can see that my photo skills have improved a lot and I have really learned throughout this class. In conclusion I would recommend this class to anyone in the high school because it really improves you photo taking skills and it will really change you view of the world.

This week I shot for macro. What I did for it was look up macro photos and then I went to my grandmas house on Saturday and Sunday ad took photos of things in her office and overall they turned out pretty good. However it was hard to get a picture without blur because I wasn't using a tripod. What I learned from shooting for macro is that it is hard to get a clear photo when not using a level and nonmoving base for your camera. This photos brightness and darkness has been changed.
For this project we had to photoshop a picture so it appeared that there were 4 of ourselves in a photo. What I did was take a base photo with nothing in it and then I took 4 different photos with myself in a different position in each one. Then I edited the layers and merged them together to make my self be in one picture four times. Finally I edited the photo to black and white to make it look clean.
This week I asked Mr. Bush if I could do panoramic as my topic because panoramic is not an option of the topic list. He said yes but he said that I have to put myself in the panoramic so I agreed and began to think of ideas on where to shoot. What I thought of is that both my grandma and my Aunt have fields behind their houses. On Sunday I went out and took pictures at both of their house and the photos turned out pretty good. What I learned from this was how hard and how tedious it is to shoot long panoramic photos with yourself in the picture. This photos contrast, levels and brightness/darkness was adjusted for this project we had to go out and take 5 panoramic photos. This was challenging because you had to have good light, no motion blur and you have to make sure that when you take a new photo you take it at the right angle and turn your camera a certain amount of degrees. Overall this was a fun assignment and I look forward to taking more panoramic photos in the future. This week I shot for black and white. I decided to shoot for black and white because I like how nice black and white pictures look and decided to give it a shot. Through out the week I looked up black and white photos and thought about what to shoot for so I went around my house fining things to shoot. I would try to get a dark background to there would be a strong contrast. What I learned from this that it is very hard to shoot a photo that us just black and white and doesn't contain a variety of colors. The saturation, exposer, blacks and whites have been edited in this photo.
This week I chose to do the open assignment and the topic I picked was halloween/fall. I decided to do this topic because it is that time of year and I had very good ideas of what to shoot. So what I did was go around my house and my grandmothers house and took pictures of our halloween decorations, What I learned from this was that it is very hard to take picture of decorations that turn out good and also make sure you check your settings before talking photo because I took a lot of photos at a really slow shutter speed and it messed up a lot of my photos. This levels, brightness/darkness and contrast was edited
For this assignment I had to take a picture around the school and the n edit it to make it look like something crazy was happening, almost so it would make you take a double look at the image and say "Is that really happening." I decided to take a picture of the gym and add NBA and college players playing on the court.
This week I shot for shadows. I chose shadows because I have seen other kids shot for shadows and it has looked very nice so I decided to give it a try. However I struggled with this topic because it was hard to take a picture that was clear, had a vivd shadow and had an overall good appearance. what I learned from this was that shadows are difficult to shoot for. This picture had the contrast, levels and brightness edited.
For this project I had to photoshop a picture of car that was at the Detroit Auto Show. What I had to do to the photo was take reflections off the hood of the car, change the levels of the overall picture, tint the windshield and turn the background black. Here is a before and after of the picture
