for this project we had to go out and take 5 panoramic photos. This was challenging because you had to have good light, no motion blur and you have to make sure that when you take a new photo you take it at the right angle and turn your camera a certain amount of degrees. Overall this was a fun assignment and I look forward to taking more panoramic photos in the future.

This week I shot for black and white. I decided to shoot for black and white because I like how nice black and white pictures look and decided to give it a shot. Through out the week I looked up black and white photos and thought about what to shoot for so I went around my house fining things to shoot. I would try to get a dark background to there would be a strong contrast. What I learned from this that it is very hard to shoot a photo that us just black and white and doesn't contain a variety of colors. The saturation, exposer, blacks and whites have been edited in this photo.
This week I chose to do the open assignment and the topic I picked was halloween/fall. I decided to do this topic because it is that time of year and I had very good ideas of what to shoot. So what I did was go around my house and my grandmothers house and took pictures of our halloween decorations, What I learned from this was that it is very hard to take picture of decorations that turn out good and also make sure you check your settings before talking photo because I took a lot of photos at a really slow shutter speed and it messed up a lot of my photos. This levels, brightness/darkness and contrast was edited
For this assignment I had to take a picture around the school and the n edit it to make it look like something crazy was happening, almost so it would make you take a double look at the image and say "Is that really happening." I decided to take a picture of the gym and add NBA and college players playing on the court.
This week I shot for shadows. I chose shadows because I have seen other kids shot for shadows and it has looked very nice so I decided to give it a try. However I struggled with this topic because it was hard to take a picture that was clear, had a vivd shadow and had an overall good appearance. what I learned from this was that shadows are difficult to shoot for. This picture had the contrast, levels and brightness edited.
For this project I had to photoshop a picture of car that was at the Detroit Auto Show. What I had to do to the photo was take reflections off the hood of the car, change the levels of the overall picture, tint the windshield and turn the background black. Here is a before and after of the picture
This week I shot for nature and I am very happy how my photos turned out. At the start of this week I decided to shoot for nature because my Grandmother has flowers all around her house and in her garden. So what I did was go down to her house trough out the week and take notes on what flowers and what parts of her garden I thought would be good places to take photos at. On Friday I went to her house and took some pictures and then again on Sunday I went down to her house and took some more pictures. When I went on Sunday there was a monarch butter fly around the flowers and it ended up landing on the group of flowers right in front of which was amazing because I was able to get several great shots of the butterfly sitting on the flower. What I learned from this shot was that sometimes you are just in the right place at the right time and end up getting a great photo from be at that place at that time. This photos brightest/darkness as well as its levels
This week I chose food as my topic to shoot for. Through out this week I brainstormed different foods to shoot and I decided on trying to take pictures of fruits and vegetables because I thought they would look the best. On Saturday night I went into my refrigerator and took out some fruits and started take photos. I used my desk lamp for lighting and moved around the items on my kitchen counter so I could have a spot to shoot. Then on Sunday I went to my Grandmothers' garden and took pictures of her vegetables that she has growing. In total I took 89 photos and I have chosen my 10 best put on my blog. From taking so many photos I learned that you cant always get the photo you want. When I was taking photos in my Grandmothers' I really wanted to get a beautiful picture of some of the raspberries she had growing however I just couldn't find a good way to take a picture of the raspberries. This is my best photo and it was not edited at all |
