This week I shot for nature and I am very happy how my photos turned out. At the start of this week I decided to shoot for nature because my Grandmother has flowers all around her house and in her garden. So what I did was go down to her house trough out the week and take notes on what flowers and what parts of her garden I thought would be good places to take photos at. On Friday I went to her house and took some pictures and then again on Sunday I went down to her house and took some more pictures. When I went on Sunday there was a monarch butter fly around the flowers and it ended up landing on the group of flowers right in front of which was amazing because I was able to get several great shots of the butterfly sitting on the flower. What I learned from this shot was that sometimes you are just in the right place at the right time and end up getting a great photo from be at that place at that time. This week I chose food as my topic to shoot for. Through out this week I brainstormed different foods to shoot and I decided on trying to take pictures of fruits and vegetables because I thought they would look the best. On Saturday night I went into my refrigerator and took out some fruits and started take photos. I used my desk lamp for lighting and moved around the items on my kitchen counter so I could have a spot to shoot. Then on Sunday I went to my Grandmothers' garden and took pictures of her vegetables that she has growing. In total I took 89 photos and I have chosen my 10 best put on my blog. From taking so many photos I learned that you cant always get the photo you want. When I was taking photos in my Grandmothers' I really wanted to get a beautiful picture of some of the raspberries she had growing however I just couldn't find a good way to take a picture of the raspberries. This is my best photo and it was not edited at all For our first photoshop assignment we had to take a photo of someone and turn it into Pop Art style photo. What I did was took a picture of my friend Ian and cropped his face out of the picture and turned it into a Pop Art picture.

Hello and welcome to my blog. I am Braden Narbut and I am in 10th grade at Saline High school. Some things about me is I play tennis for the school, I live with my Mother, Father, younger sister and our two cats Lola and Lucy. I chose to take digital photography because I enjoy taking photos and I thought it would be a good idea to take a class the could advance my skills of taking photos. Also my mom isn't that good with her camera and by taking this class I can help teach her what I learn in class so she feels more comfortable using her camera. Another reason I took this class was that I always though being a photographer was an interesting profession and if i enjoy being one then I might pursue photography it in the future.
